Easy and Healthy Paneer Chilli in just 10 minutes

Have you ever craved a lip smacking Chinese dish while on a ‘diet’. Diet or not here is my easy-peasy paneer chili recipe that is our family favorite. And the best thing? It literally takes just 10 mins to make.

How to make

Even though the recipe doesn’t call for it, if you want you can fry your paneer. This will make it a bit tough and will keep the paneer from crumbling when we put it in gravy.

To fry the paneer, take a heavy bottom pan, and add 1 tbsp oil.Once the oil is hot, put the paneer cubes one by one. Once it gets a golden brown color on one side, flip it and do the same on the other side. When the cubes are fried from all the sides, transfer it to a bowl.

Oil heating in pan

In the same pain, add the oil. (Now here is when the recipe takes a sharp turn. Bear with me)

Onion saute

Now add the diced onions. And saute for a few minutes.

Ginger garlic paste

Then add ginger and garlic paste. Wait till the GG paste is cooked.

mixed sauces

In the meantime mix all your sauces in a bowl. Taste it and if you feel something is missing, now is the time to add it.

Bell peppers

Now pour this mixture into the pan. Stir continuously until the sauces are cooked. Now add in the bell peppers. Saute them for 2 minutes.

Paneerchilli

Into the pan add about half cup of boiling water(If you want a gravy consistency for your chili you can add upto 1 cup). Now let the mixture cook. If you have added more water, you can either simmer the gravy a little more or you can add the cornstarch mixture. (1 tsp cornstarch in 3 tbsp water). Now add the paneer cubes. Turn off the heat when the gravy has reached your desired consistency. Add the honey, pepper and celery(if you have).

I am sure you might be wondering whether this can be made in 10minutes. So may be not 10, but it will take less than 15 minutes, I guarantee.
